Get Determined

I was not a natural-born academic schoolchild. School, for me, was a horrifying and complex blend of both being bamboozled by numbers and being bamboozled by making friends with other children. That’s a lot of bamboozling to put up with every single day, so was it any wonder that when I eventually finished school I was so much happier? And I dread to think how much harder it would have been if I had lacked determination… As is talked about extensively at the following article from Enigin plc, determination really is the deciding factor: http://www.eniginpartners.com/2010/03/17/until-the-fat-lady-sings/
Without determination you’re falling back on luck and something miraculous happening. I don’t know about you but on a day-to-day basis the most miraculous thing that happens to me is the bus actually turning up on time. It’s fair to say that some people are just lucky. Everything just seems to fall in to place for them. But let us not forget the importance of choice, after all, in the majority of cases we end up where we do by making either lots of right choices or right choices and some wrong ones. That’s why you need determination: if you do happen to make a few wrong moves along the way then determination will help you pick yourself back up, which is something you have to get used to doing in life. Of course, you can’t just get determination, that isn’t how it works. But that said you can try thinking more positively and not letting the small things get you down. Do that and try hard and you’re already half way there.
